Milwaukee Thunderbolt 48-89-2801 Drill Bit Set, 21-Piece, Steel, Black Oxide

The Milwaukee Thunderbolt black oxide drill bit set is a 21-piece collection designed for heavy-duty drilling performance on the jobsite and in the workshop. These bits excel at drilling through metal, wood, and PVC with minimal effort, making them ideal for both professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts tackling a wide range of projects.

Milwaukee engineered the Thunderbolt series to solve common drilling challenges: bits that walk on contact, excessive breakage under side loads, poor chip clearance that causes overheating, and slipping in the chuck. This comprehensive set addresses all of these problems with thoughtful design features and durable construction.

Features and Benefits

• Thicker Core Web: The Thunderbolt web features a thicker core than standard drill bits to provide ultimate strength and protect against side-load breakage.
• Parabolic Flute Design: A specially designed flute form clears chips and debris quickly, keeping the bit cool during operation and improving drilling speed and efficiency.
• 135-Degree Split Point Tip: Delivers a precision start on contact, preventing walking and allowing for fast, accurate holes without wandering.
• 3-Flat Secure-Grip Shank: Holds the bit firmly in the drill chuck during use.
• Effective on Multiple Materials: Requires less effort to drill through metal, wood, and PVC, and is highly recommended for use with portable drills.
• Curved Surface Capable: Works effectively on curved surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.
