Milwaukee 48-89-9209 Step Drill Bit, 7/8 & 1-1/8 In.

The Milwaukee #9 Step Drill Bit is a dual-purpose drilling tool designed to create two hole sizes—7/8 inch and 1-1/8 inch—in a single bit. This two-step design lets you drill multiple diameter holes without changing tools. The bit is engineered for use on metal and plastic materials with cordless drills running at high speed.

Built with a black oxide coating and optimized geometry, this bit delivers faster cutting action while generating less heat than conventional drills. Milwaukee's design reduces bit walking on startup and produces smoother, cleaner finished holes. The laser-engraved reference marks on the body let users stop at any hole size with confidence, and the 3-flat secure-grip shank prevents slippage in the chuck for reliable operation.

Features and Benefits

• Dual-Flute Design: Delivers greater speed, control, and jam-free performance for faster, smoother cuts.
• Two-Step Configuration: Drills both 7/8-inch and 1-1/8-inch holes with a single bit, reducing the need to change tools.
• Black Oxide Coating: Resists corrosion, works well with drilling lubricants, and extends bit life up to 4 times longer than uncoated alternatives.
• 3-Flat Secure-Grip Shank: Three flat surfaces prevent slippage in drill chucks, ensuring secure and reliable operation.
• Laser-Engraved Markings: Reference marks on the bit body allow precise stopping at any hole size without guesswork.
• Optimized for Cordless Drills: Engineered for high-speed operation, enabling up to 2 times faster performance and approximately 50 percent more holes per battery charge.
